Chess Your Luck (Demo/Proof of Concept)

I'll be working to get an in-browser version of the game out as soon as I can, but for now the project is via download only thanks to only testing it in executable format (rookie mistakes, am I right).

Chess Your Luck A.K.A Rainy Knight's Cafe, is a work in progress that I've been wanting to make for a while now. The core concept is that you're combining playing cards together to create chess pieces, which you then use to take out all of your opponent's kings. The game takes place in a somewhat other worldly cafe, where you'll interact with wandering souls going about their days and play this strange chess variant with them to learn their stories. This game is one of a pair which I am releasing together to drum up engagement and get people's opinions on which one they like more. Whichever one gets the better reception will likely be the project I work on next. This demo will likely grow and evolve as the project comes together, taking on multiple iterations and revisions so stay tuned for more!

The other game is called Red's Righteous Auto and is a puzzle game in which you control multiple characters at once trying to achieve a collective goal of running a business. The demo centers around 3 characters working at a gas station, but the game is intended to take place in a car dealership with the gas station being the player's introduction to the mechanics.
